Our spring auction is characterized by a large number of the rarest mint varieties, especially from the 1st and 2nd Republic of Austria. Of course, we remain true to our classic focus with a magnificent range of cancellations from Lombardy Venetia and the 2nd issue 1858 from the countries of the Hungarian crown. Our range of classics is completed by a beautiful collection of old Italian states, competently checked and certified at moderate starting prices.

In 2022 Merkurphila celebrates its 15th anniversary and starts the new year with an extraordinary auction. Besides many classical philately treasures of the Austrian Empire (with a section dedicated to Lombardy-Venetia, 2nd issue cancellations and end of the monarchy), we offer the most important collection of Austrian local issues 1945 ex Peter Zgonc and several rarities belonging to the I and II republic.
